dAIALS: Personalized Lab-on-a-Chip Diagnostics for Early ALS Detection

Advancing dAIgnostics’ ALS platform toward clinical and market readiness

dAIALS develops an integrated diagnostic-support workflow for early and personalized ALS detection. The project combines NIMOCHIP™, microfluidics, fluorescent optical recording, cellular calcium analysis and AI-powered data processing to support earlier and more precise ALS diagnostics.

Challenge

ALS diagnosis is often delayed until symptoms are already pronounced, limiting timely intervention and patient stratification. Earlier diagnostic support requires a workflow that captures functional disease-related signals and translates them into clinically meaningful insight.

Solution

dAIALS supports an integrated lab-on-a-chip and AI-powered diagnostic workflow:

Patient-derived IgG → NIMOCHIP™ → Living-cell response → Optical recording → AI-supported insight. The project brings together biological testing, microfluidics, optical recording and digital analysis in a modular architecture for clinical and commercial translation.

What dAIALS develops

Lab-on-a-chip workflow

NIMOCHIP™-based testing and fluorescent optical recording for controlled analysis of living-cell responses.

AI and data modules

dAI Connect, dAI Parse and dAI Detect for secure data transfer, metadata structuring and disease-related pattern recognition.

Explainable reporting

dAI Explain for translating analytical outputs into clear diagnostic-support reports.

Role within the dAIgnostics platform

dAIALS connects the full diagnostic-support workflow, from patient-derived IgG and living-cell testing to optical recording, AI interpretation and explainable reporting.
